MY OLYMPICS 2010 ADVENTURE: Day One

Well, I made it in once piece. To be honest, I felt like I would never actually get here. We've been talking about doing this for almost a year now, but it still feels so unreal. Even as I'm sitting here in a stranger's house (ridiculously nice and accommodating strangers mind you) I still feel like I'm not going to be 5 feet away from olympic athletes in less than 36 hours.

The drive up was good. Uneventful really. I made a stop in Duncan to visit Adrien and his sister with her NEW BABY DAYTON :) so cute! Then I JUST BARELY made it to the ferries. Seriously, the lady was like, okay you have ONE MINUTE to catch this ferry heresyourchangegogobye!!!! lol she was awesome. And I made it on behind all the trucks and such. Good times.

The drive to squamish, Brackendale actually, was easy as pie. I even stopped to take pictures because the sea-to-sky highway has such a beautiful view... Mind you there was still construction going on, so there were a bunch pylons I had to skirt around, which was annoying, but other than that, it was fine.

I figured out how to disable the wireless internet security and my host's house because they couldn't remember the password, and so I am successful set up all nicely in my room! Yay me :)

Tomorrow, I take a venture out into Squamish to find the bus depots and such. Tonight, early bedtime!

COMING SOON: Pics of me in my olympics clothing! haha I will be so layered and colorful I will look like an easter egg!

Ciao!

MDMedia Poster

It's a rough, but it's where I'm at so far. I basically used this poster project as a chance to brainstorm my logo, slug line and business name. :)

Directors' Chair

So, had my first director's gig this week. Held about 6 hours worth of auditions, with 17 actors. It was so much fun. I felt so professional handing out forms for them to fill out, and reading the lines with them, not to mention sitting in my yellow director's chair that magically appeared in the studio this year. Perfect timing, haha.

I'm pretty much ridiculously lucky. I feel like fate wants me to succeed in my over ambitions endeavors. Litterally, the actos I found are not only great actors, but also fit the parts perfectly, personality wise and looks wise. AND the two actors I chose to be brothers, look so much a like. I'm ridiculously lucky. I feel like it's a sign. haha.

I can't wait. I'm so excited. =D =D

Crippled and Working Hard

Christmas Holidays havent really brought me rest. I actually haven't stop. Been working on this script thing the entire break, but I guess it's paid off because I'm about halfway through it. I still have a bunch of actors lined up to audition, so that's good news.

Oh, and about the crippled thing, I somehow hurt myself, and to be honest I think it has something to do with my new car. I'm driving a stick shift and I think I twisted the wrong way...or it's the seat or something. Anyway, whatever it is, it hurts and I'm walking like the Hunchback of NotreDame because of it. I have a huge knot in my lower back on the right hand side, and when it swells it pinches a nerve and sends shooting pain down my leg. Fun times.

Moving on with the Photography thing now. Going to be working with Kisha soon, helping her get a few headshots done for her portfolio, and then I have a couple other randoms set up, which will be nice.

OH and I'm doing my first wedding in August. That should be fun, I look forward to it.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Except, I may as well post a few of the Sunhawk photos.

Ciao for now darlings.
